Harry Dean, a Cold War informant, became embedded with anti-Castro activists and radical-right figures (Loran Hall, Larry Howard, Edwin Walker). He claimed they recruited or used Lee Harvey Oswald and plotted against JFK. Dismissed by the FBI and Warren Commission, Dean went public, self-published Crosstrails, and persisted in alleging a radical-right conspiracy that manipulated Oswald and warranted renewed investigation.
